Sign-in for independent services.

FediID

Your identity. Your access.

FediID lets you sign in to FediPass and FediPay while helping keep their information separate. Each service receives its own identifier instead of a shared customer number linking your usage to your billing details.

How FediID works

A project in development · Current project status

Your data stays separate

Each service receives its own identifier. Technical separation makes it harder to combine your usage behaviour and payment identity into a comprehensive profile.

How we protect your data technically

How it works

  1. Sign in. Use a supported Fediverse account or an available sign-in option with a verified email address.
  2. Confirm when needed. Additional checks protect sensitive actions.
  3. Go to your service. FediID provides the identifier that service needs. In your account, you can inspect connected services and your identity information.

Simpler sign-in, with clear boundaries

Using independent services should not mean giving each one a complete picture of your online life. FediID provides a shared sign-in and helps connected services keep identity, usage and billing in separate areas of responsibility.

Understand identity and privacy

Three services, one shared sign-in.

Three services, one shared sign-in. Sounds complicated? It is for us, but we want it to be as simple as possible for you. Sign in here and you will normally be taken between the services without having to sign in to each one again. Their different colours and logos show where you are and which service is doing what.

Your first questions

All background articles
Is FediID an identity document?

No. Signing in proves control of an account. It does not by itself prove an official identity or a unique real person. Services can exchange permitted status information through FediID. FediPass manages passes and participation; billing addresses and payment records stay in FediPay. This does not verify that an account represents a unique real person.

What information is shared?

The information required for permitted sign-in or connections between services. Data and privacy explains identifiers, verified email addresses and the limits of data separation. This technical overview is not a formal privacy notice.

What happens if I lose access?

Recovery depends on the verified email addresses and security methods you have set up. Account recovery help explains the available steps and their limits.
